​You will find NMWC members volunteering almost anywhere there is work to be done in North Mecklenburg. ​

​Hands-on service allows us to make human connections and impact peoples’ lives in tangible ways. 

​

• We serve lunches and pack to-go meals for children and families who are food insecure at  Angels & Sparrows.
  

• We write notes of encouragement and provide meals for women trying to get back on their feet at Hope House.
  

• We mentor women returning to college with full time jobs through ANSWER Scholarship.

• Members read to children to help them learn English at La Escuelita.

• Members collect supplies and hold events to let teachers know they are appreciated.
  

• We tutor students from 1st grade through high school at Caterpillar Ministries.

• We volunteer at schools and organizations all over North Mecklenburg in an effort to promote literacy and success.
